WHAT ARE THE TYPES OF CONCRETE

   Concrete is classified as follows-

 A.  Depending on the type of material used:-

 (a) Cement Concrete: - It uses one to four percent sand and 2 to 16 percent stone crush with one part cement. 

 (b) Lime stone Concrete: - Follow the ratios below-

     Lime    :    Surki     :     Pieces of bricks

      18       :     36         :          100 

       1        :       2         :            5.5

       2        :       2         :              7

 Of course, other types may be needed.

B. According to the strength and rules of use:

  (a) Plain cement concrete:- It uses one part cement with one to four parts sand and 2 to 16 percent stone crush.

  (b) Reinforced Cement  Concrete(RCC):- In a suitable location with upper plain cement concrete, if ordinary flexible steel rod is used it is called RCC.

  (c) Pre-stressed cement concrete:- If high pressure tensile steel wire is used before or after the casting of the said concrete then it is called pre-stressed cement concrete.
